To Eden
By: Whispers of Ember
Inspired by: Edgar Allan Poe
To Eden, thou gentle hand that led me
Like a shepherd, teaching me to be
Thy beauty, thy smile,
Sweet like honey, calm as the silent pine
On dark and gloomy field, a way-worn wanderer roam
A heart that yearns for light’s bright rim
But thee come, thy voice turn to my light
And in thy light, my shadows grow dim.
Days of yore, no glimpse of thee
The wanderer has no light to see
In these dark halls, long wont to roam for thee
Thus, the wanderer was left alone under the dead tree.
